Remote Sensing Systems for Disaster Monitoring This session will will provide an overview of successfully flown spacecraft missions by NASA and ISRO, and identify system level challenges and technology gaps.

System of Systems This session will address potential role of nano, small, and large satellites, unmanned air vehicles, smart phones to create system architecture for disaster monitoring and management.

Day 2
TUESDAY APRIL 1st, 2014

The presentations of the Sessions on day two are intended to provide input on Disaster Monitoring and Sensors and Instruments Technologies to the follow-up collaborative project development sessions. Again, we are providing speakers a list of issues covering remote sensing, and sensor and instruments to address technology gaps in their respective presentation. In order to obtain maximum output from these sessions to be relevant to the proposed project tracks, please provide any and all questions that you would like answered to the session Chairs.

Day 3
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2nd, 2014

The Collaborative Project Development and Deliverables Sessions are the heart of the event. We have endeavoured to create a program that optimizes the use of our time to produce measurable deliverables to advance the goals and activities of SSTDM Workshop.

To update participants on the Candidate Collaborative Projects, we have commissioned series of “Concept (White) Papers? covering each of the five disaster project areas. These project presentations will be followed by concurrent split session for each project team to establish the mission, goals, and roadmap, and project development of each of the areas. It is our hope that we will be able to include the participation of those who are interested in more than one area, and include the participation of a wide range of expertise.

There will be several Indo-US experts on-site to assist project-participants to establish an actionable roadmap with well-defined projects, responsibilities, schedule, teaming, budget, and success evaluation metrics.
